How to prepare sensibly
- Be able to talk about yourself for 8–10 minutes — work, daily routine, housing, hobbies, reason for the test — without notes, in full, connected sentences.
- Practise hypothetical questions (Konjunktiv II: würde, wäre, hätte, könnte) — the most commonly reported stumbling block.
- Expect follow-ups: a short answer earns a digging question on the same point.
